Tim Allen

I love Tim Allen is he a great actor and such a comedic figure. I have watched several movies that he is in. He has starred in so many movies that were great hits! Timothy Allen Dick was born on June 13, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, USA, to Martha Katherine (Fox) and Gerald M. Dick. His father, a real-estate salesman, was killed in a collision with a drunk driver while driving his family home from a University of Colorado football game, when Tim was 11 years-old. His mother, a community-service worker, remarried her high-school sweetheart, an Episcopalian deacon, two years after Tim's father's death. Tim has a total of eight siblings. His ancestry includes English, German, Irish, and Scottish.When Tim was young, his family moved to Birmingham, Michigan. In high school, his favorite subject was shopb and after high school, he attended Western Michigan University and graduated with a degree in Television Production in 1975. In 1978, he was arrested on drug charges and spent two years in jail. After his release, he had a new outlook on life and on a dare from a friend, started his comedy career at the Comedy Castle in Detroit. Later, he went on to do several cable specials, including, Comedy's Dirtiest Dozen (1988) and Tim Allen: Men are Tim Allen: Men are Pigs (1990). In 1991, he became the star of his own hit television series on ABC called Papa bricole (1991). While continuing to film his television series throughout most of the 1990s, he starred in a string of blockbuster movies including Super Noël (1994), Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2 (1999) and Galaxy Quest (1999). In August 1996, he developed and unveiled his own signature line of power tools, manufactured by Ryobi. On top of all that, he has his own racing team, Tim Allen/Saleen RRRRacing. In May 1999, he ended his series Papa bricole (1991) after eight seasons and in 2001, he filmed such movies as Big Trouble (2002) and Super papa (2001).

Actress And Comedian Melissa McCarthy

Melissa McCarthy was born in Plainfield, Illinois, to Sandra and Michael McCarthy, a farmer. Her recent ancestors were from County Cork, Ireland. McCarthy began her performing career as a stand-up comedian in New York where she appeared at the famous clubs, Stand Up New York and The Improv. She worked on her acting skills at The Actors Studio and appeared in many stage productions in the city before moving to Los Angeles in the late-1990s. She made a number of TV and movie appearances before making her big breakthrough as Sookie in Gilmore Girls (2000). A steady stream of comedy performances followed, leading to her starring role in the sitcom Mike and Molly (2010). McCarthy married her long-time boyfriend, Ben Falcone, who she met at the Groundling Theatre, on October 8, 2005. They had their first daughter, Vivian, on May 5, 2007. McCarthy's pregnancy was written into the last season of Gilmore Girls. Their second daughter, Georgette, was born on March 22, 2010. McCarthy returned to work four months after giving birth to Georgette to begin filming the first season of Mike & Molly. I absolutely love Melissa McCarthy, she is extremely funny and can always make me laugh! She is one of the funniest actress i have ever seen. I have watched pretty much all of the movie she has starred in also. 21 JUMPSTREET & 22 JUMPSTREET

Now I will be discussing about another movie and the sequel. 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street!!!! 21 Jumpstreet is about how in 2005 Schmidt and Jenko are high school students, one an honor roll geek, the other a cool, athletic underachiever. By 2012, they are rookie cops, paired together, on bike patrol yearning to make arrests. After a screw up, they're sent undercover back to high school to find the source of a dangerous synthetic drug. They mix up their names, and Schmidt gets the no-brainer classes where he auditions for Peter Pan and falls in love with Wendy; Jenko gets AP classes where he falls in with high-achieving dweebs. This second chance at high school gives Schmidt delusions of grandeur, which threaten the operation. I personally loved the 21 Jump street but find that the second movei 22 Jump Street is terrible compared to the first movie. 21 Jump Street is an adventurous and fun packed movie whcih always left you wanting more but 22 Jump Street is a little bit of a let down... I was expecting somethin much better because of how good the trailer looked. 22 Jump Street is about how after one of Schmidt and Jenko's missions go wrong, they are sent back to Jump Street to do the exact same thing, go undercover and find out who is selling drugs. But this time they are sent to college to investigate the drug known as 'Wyfy' and have only one lead on who it is, someone with a tattoo. Schmidt and Jenko's relationship is tested when Jenko is brought back on the cool side while Schmidt hangs out with a girl named Maya. At the same time they must decide if they can keep there relationship together as friends, or as cops.

DUMB AND DUMBER

I havent posted a blog in awhile.. in my previous blogs i have discussed in great depth about different comedy movies, how theirs different types of comedy movies and also the several comedian actors and actresses who are extremly famous such as Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler. During this blog I will be talking about a movie then the sequel of the movie. Dumb & Dumber is the movie I will be talking about. I have mixed emotions about this comedy because it is funny at times but at some points im not sure if it was so good because of the over exageration of stupidity. Dumb and Dumber is amovie about a man whos name is Lloyd Christmas. He is a loser taxi driver, who tries to return a suitcase which contains a lot of money to its owner, a beautiful woman named Mary Swanson who he took in his taxi to the airport, earlier. He must give her back the suitcase, and for that he goes with his dumb partner, Harry Dunne to a snowy town named Aspen. But a pair of criminals who wants the money try to follow them and to steal the money in the suitcase. Moreover, Harry and Lloyd both fall in love with Mary, and they struggle each other to win her heart. There is a second movie that was released November 14th 2014 called Dumb and Dumber To...Which is the sequel of the first movie Dumb and Dumber. I would want to go see it but im not too sure if I would really like it because I didnt like the first one very much since it there was overly exagerated emotions and actions. It is about how 20 years later Lloyd and Harry go on an adventure to find Harry's newly discovered daughter who was given up for adoption. Both movies were directed and produced by Bobby Ferrelly and Peter Ferrelly.

Different Comedy Actors

Hey there, I'm back again! During this blog i will be discussing the backgrounds of several different comedy movie actors and actresses that are very famous for there sense of humour and also i will be mentioning what movies they have starred in. 

Jim Carrey is my first topic. He is a Canadian born actor who became a US citizen in 2004. He is an actor and producer who is famous for his rubbery body movements and flexible facial expressions. The two-time Golden Globe-winner rose to fame as a cast member of the Fox sketch comedy. Jim Carrey stars in the following comedy movies; Dumb And Dumber, Ace Ventura, The Truman Show, etc...






Robin Williams is my second topic. He was born on July 21, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, a great-great-grandson of Mississippi Governor and Senator Anselm J. McLaurin. He is well known for his wonderful humor. Jim Carrey stars in the following comedy movies; Good Will Hunting, Mrs.Doubtfire, Hook, etc... 







Tom Hanks is my third topic. Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was born in Concord, California, to Janet Marylyn who is a hospital worker, and Amos Mefford Hanks who is an itinerant cook. Tom Hanks stars in several comedy movies such as the following; Forest Gump, Big, Toy Story, etc...  







Bill Murray is my fourth topic. Bill Murray is the fifth of nine children he was born in Wilmette, Illinois to Lucille who was a mailroom clerk, and Edward Joseph Murray II, who sold lumber. He is of Irish descent. Bill Murray has starred in several comedy movies such as the following; Scrooged, Ghostbusters, Stripes, Lost in Translation, etc...   








Chevy Chase is my fifth topic. Chevy Chase was born Cornelius Crane Chase in Lower Manhattan, New York, to Cathalene Parker and Edward Tinsley Chase AKA Ned who was an editor and writer. Chevy Chase stars in sevral comedy movies such as; National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, Caddyshack, Funny Farm, etc... 






Adam Sandler is my sixth topic. Adam Sandler was born on September 9, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York, to Judy, a teacher at a nursery school, and Stanley Sandler, an electrical engineer. He is of Russian Jewish descent. At 17, he took his first step towards becoming a stand-up comedian when he went up on stage at a Boston comedy club. Adam Sandler stars in the following comedy movies; Blended, Grown Ups, 50 First Dates, Just go With it, Jack & Jill, Happy Gilmore, That's my Boy, etc...

Comedy Genre Films - History

A comedy movie is a type of genre which emphasis on humor. Comedy movies were created to entertain an audience and also to amuse them by exaggerating real life situations to an extreme. Films of this style usually have a happy ending. These types of movies are one of the oldest genres in movie history. Starting around the 1930's comedy movies had stated to air in black and white, then little by little technology started improving. This made comedy movies a big hit! Color televisions came out, and made movies even more entertaining to watch! Now we have wonderful high definition quality and surround sound. Comedy, unlike other film genres puts alot more focus on individual stars. Many actors or actresses that have starred in comedy genre movies have started off by doing stand up comedy (by being a comedian). There are several of comedy genres such as action comedy, comedy horror, sci-fi comedy and military comedy. Action comedy relies on the actors or actress to bring out the comedy and jokes within the film. Horror comedy is a literary and film genre that combines elements of comedy and horror fiction. Sci-Fi comedy is a mix between science fiction and comedy. Military comedy is a humor based on stereotypes of military life. Military humor portrays a wide range of characters and situations in the armed forces. I would now like to that the time to discuss a very famous comedian / actor who has been in several different comedy movies. Jim Carrey! I never get tired of watching movies he has starred in. He is a canadian born actor who became a U.S. citizen in 2004. He is a actor and producer. He is famous for his rubbery body movements and flexible facial expressions. My Favourites

I have several different comedies that I love to watch. My second favourite comedy movie is Anchorman. In the film Anchorman the actors are Will Ferrel,Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Fred Willard,etc.Will Ferrel plays Ron Burgundy.Christina Applegate plays Veronica Corningstone. Paul Rudd plays Brian Fantana. Steve Carell plays Brick Tamland. Fred Willard plays Ed Harken. Anchorman is about a man named Ron Burgundy who is the top rated male news broadcaster in San Diego. But his career is threatened when a female broadcaster is hired as the new anchor. He tries everythingin his power to make sure hecan keep his job as the anchorman. In my opinion Anchorman is such a hilarious movie. I highly recommend this movie to everyone reading this blog at the moment. I have watched this movie so many times.Its the kind of movie you can watch several times and not get bored of it. The directorof this movie is AdamMcKay. The writers are Will Ferell and AdamMcKay.Will Ferrel has been in several movies such as; Anchorman, Anchorman 2, Step Brothers, Elf, The lego movie, The campaign, Semi pro, Bewitched & many more great hits. Will Ferrell is a comedian, impressionist, actor and film-maker. Another very known actress is Christina Applegate. She is also American. She stars in the film Anchorman.  She also stars in Married With Children, Up All Night, The Sweetest Thing, Going The Distance, Hall Pass and several more. Every other actor that is starred in the film anchorman has been in some sort of film. Anyways, i hope you have enjoyed what i have written and posted . There will be much more to come. My first post - Introduction

My name is Samantha, I’m fifteen years old and I go to E J Lajeunesse high school. During this semester I have been asked to write a blog on a topic of my choice. After awhile of thinking I came up with a idea. I am choosing to write about my favourite comedy movies. The reason why I am writing about my favourite comedy movies is because in my past time when I am not occupied with school I like to go to the video store and rent a few comedy movies to keep me busy. I always get a good laugh and that’s what I like most about comedies. They’re so interesting and also very entertaining. There are so many plot twists within a movie. You never know what will pop up next. Theirs enough drama and action in one persons life so some times its nice to kick back and watch something that will make you laugh so much that your stomach hurts.  I have so many favourite comedies such as 22 Jump Street, The Other Women, Grown Ups, Grown Ups 2, Anchorman , etc… My favourite comedy movie of all times is definitely ‘’Let’s Be Cops’’. I also saw that movie in theatres. A summary of the movie real quick…. Two men decide to dress up as cops for a halloween costume party, but when they arrive at the party every other person is dressed up fancy . The two men play it off like they are actually police officers. They then start to get involved in serious crimes, and dealing with real criminals. They have the whole town convinced that they are actually cops… included the real police officers! Anyways, this is my first post on my blog, and surely not my last!
